Queen’s Soul Food presents Forums on Food Security & Poverty Awareness

On Monday October 1st, we will be having our first in a series of forums on food security & poverty awareness that aim to educate the Queen’s community about these issues and their impact on the world around them – whether it be locally, nationally or globally.

Monday’s event takes in Dunning Hall, Room 14 with Judy Glen of St. Vincent De Paul as our guest lecturer for this week’s forum – speaking on poverty within the Kingston community. As a former member of the Kingston Poverty Round Table, as well as head of The Gathering Place for 15 years, Glen has much experience and wisdom to share on this topic.

If you are looking to take action and inform yourself, then be sure to come out next Monday – we hope to see you all there!
